I'm Max, I live in the south of Sweden, and since 2014 I've been researching and mapping elections around the world. I have no formal education in political science, statistics or GIS, but over probably hundreds of elections (though I haven't kept track) in dozens of countries, I've developed a style and a way to connect numbers on a page to both the everyday drama of politics and wider historical trends.

The most consistent element of this blog consists of posting these maps with historical background, one of which will go up at 8am CET on Wednesdays. Beside that, I also continually draw new maps and research new things (some of which may be unrelated to elections altogether), and these things will also be chronicled here, though I can't really set a schedule for them.
